I am happy to announce the official launch of the #LoveInAction website. This site was created to capture and celebrate the tremendous amount of work that Union students and community have done and have been doing that echo Cornel West’s infamous words: “Never forget that justice is what love looks like in public.” Union students and community are invited to submit their images, audio, video, and/or writings having to do with activism.
On Tuesday, March 24th, the library hosted a successful “Contribute-a-Thon” that allowed students to learn more about the site and how they could contribute. Many who attended submitted while there! However there is still plenty of work to be done! The more contributions, the more voices, the richer and more impactful the site will be.
Check out what has been contributed so far here.
This site is powered by Omeka, which is an open source web-publishing platform that allows libraries, museums, archives, and the community-at-large to create and share collections and exhibitions.
