You can use Google Books to find full-text titles in the public domain, i.e. older titles whose copyright has expired.

• go to Google Books; click Advanced Search
• Next to Search click Public Domain only
• Enter search term, i.e. willa cather; click Google Search button
• Click title to see full text
• Full text can be downloaded in pdf or epub format; use download button at top of page
• Some of these Google book titles will appear in CLIO but not all
