This spring, the Humanities & History (H&H) staff will be offering reference service in the Digital Humanities Center (DHC) in 305 Butler rather than in Butler 301. This move is part of a larger effort to integrate our research support services with our digital scholarship efforts, especially in the area of digital humanities. For the past two years the H&H staff has been engaged in a training program, the Developing Librarian project, to ensure we have the skills necessary to support the emerging research needs of our faculty and students. With this integration of reference and DHC support, all H&H staff will learn about the software and hardware in the DHC and our GAs, who staff the DHC, will be given training in basic reference service.
Beginning Tuesday, January 20 reference service will be available in the DHC Monday – Friday 11:00 – 5:00pm. You can also reach the reference desk by calling 212-854-7547. The former Butler reference numbers will be forwarded to this number.
