We have recently received questions about selectors reviewing databases or other titles prior to the renewal of the subscription. TSAD does not routinely notify selectors when a database, or any title for that matter, is up for renewal. The renewal is just processed. However, TSAD will consult with the selector if the price has gone up significantly or if it is clear to us that the scope of the resource has changed.

If a selector is reviewing a specific title and would like to be notified before that title is renewed, TSAD will add a note to the order record to notify the selector before renewing. This works well on a title-by-title basis. Please note that it is not feasible for TSAD to refer every title to a selector before processing a renewal.
