The draft of the OLE Project (Open Library Environment Project) final report has been released for comment. The project goal "was to design a next-generation library system that breaks away from print-based workflows, reflects the changing nature of library materials and new approaches to scholarly work, integrates well with other enterprise systems and can be easily modified to suit the needs of different institutions." (Final report draft, p. 2)
Webinars have been a mixed blessing, but for anybody interested in names control this one is really worth watching. A recording of the Webinar and the PowerPoint are available from OCLC’s WebJunction portal here.
