RBML submitted a proposal to the Getty Foundation to process the papers of art historian and critic Meyer Schapiro (1904-1996). The collection includes Schapiro’s research files, which came to Columbia by bequest from his widow, as well as earlier gifts of audio tapes, correspondence, and gallery invitations. The goal of the project is to process nearly 190 linear feet and make them widely accessible to scholars, students, and the general public.
