Emerging Technologies Brown Bag

Many of you may remember the series of lunch time discussions called Emerging Technologies Brown Bags (ETBB), started in 2006. A group of staff has come together to revive these discussions, and is pleased to announce the first event (see below). All staff are welcome to join us.

The ETBB is an opportunity for Libraries/Information Staff to gather informally for free-ranging discussion and exploration of new technologies. Anyone can present on an emerging technology that they use or find interesting at an ETBB. If you would like to present at a future ETBB, contact Mark Phillipson at mlp55@columbia.edu. We hope you are as excited as we are to come together and share information about new technologies.

Topic: Janet Gertz will be presenting on the new Mellon
Audio/Moving Image Survey Tool that the Preservation Department has
developed.
