A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs, 1910 – 1965

Long Island University is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition “A Fine Romance.  Jewish Songwriters, American Songs, 1910 – 1965 on Thursday, March 8 from 5:30p – 8:00p in the Hutchins Gallery of the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library on the LIU/Post campus.  This traveling exhibit is further enriched with a display of original movie posters from the library’s Special Collections Department, as well as original drawings and sketches by internationally renowned artist Dan Christoffel.

This exhibition  was developed by Nextbook, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Jewish literature, culture, and ideas, and the American Library Association Public Programs Office. The national tour of the exhibit has been made possible by grants from the Charles H. Revson Foundation, the Righteous Persons Foundation, the David Berg Foundation, and an anonymous donor, with additional support from Tablet Magazine: A New Read on Jewish Life.
