With many students set to graduate in the coming weeks, it’s a great time to point out the wonderful resources available to NYC residents through the New York Public Library. With over 80 branches located in three boroughs, NYPL is an easily accessible option for soon-to-be graduates after their time at Columbia is over.
NYPL also offers access to many popular databases and e-journals on its website through the Articles and Databases page. Keep in mind that some databases can only be accessed on-site at an NYPL branch, and all databases require you to have a library card to use them. If you’re not already a cardholder, you can sign up for an NYPL library card here.
Students and soon-to-be grads alike should also know that NYPL offers access to a Bloomberg terminal at the Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL), located at 34th Street and Madison Avenue in Midtown.
