The Digital Program Projects & Updates blog showcases the development, digitization, and collaborative work being done by Columbia University’s Libraries Digital Library & Scholarly Technologies Department to support Columbia University Libraries work on collections, research, learning, and scholarship. The Projects & Updates blog will provide insights into our innovative technology work, the projects we are supporting and managing, and new directions we are exploring. While not intended to be an exhaustive resource covering all of our digital collections and online exhibitions work, the blog will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the unique and creative work we do.
We work with curators from the Libraries’ many distinctive collections, with faculty, and with other university organizations to develop and promote the infrastructure and resources to support, publish, and preserve Columbia’s unique collections, from born-digital and web archiving projects to historical manuscript, photography, and architectural collections. Our Digital Library Collections Website and our Online Exhibitions page provide a comprehensive look at our completed projects.
We also work with the Libraries’ research and learning teams, pubic services staff, and Communications team to develop, support, and publish the Libraries Website, CUL Blogs, hours and events information, and research guides. Our Libraries Website provides a window on the many programs, projects, collections, and research opportunities the Libraries support and to which the Libraries give access.
