Please Note: due to necessary system upgrades, some library services will be unavailable from the evening of Tue 3/17 through the end of the day on Sun 3/22. The following services will be unavailable or impacted:
- My Library Account in CLIO will be unavailable
- Online renewals will be unavailable
- Recalls/Holds cannot be placed
- Borrow Direct will be unavailable
- CLIO bookbag feature will be unavailable
- Although the CLIO catalog will be available, it will not display real-time status information on items (for example, returned items will not display as returned until after this work has been completed)
- Any materials falling due on these dates will not be checked in until after 3/22; however, no fines will accrue for this period
Items checked out under the previous semester loan due date are due on 2/16/09.
If you have not already, please make sure to renew your print materials before that date, to avoid possible overdue charges (and eventual circulation blocks, if the items become severely overdue). Items with the new semester loan due date of 6/1/09 do not need to be renewed.
You may renew your items up to 10 times by visiting “My Library Account”, either from the CLIO search screen, or under “Using the Libraries” on the main Libraries home page. The current semester loan due date is 6/1/09.
After requesting renewal, it’s a good idea to scan your list to identify any items which may not have been renewed, due to recalls or to having exceeded the 10-renewal limit. These items should be returned to the
circulation desk in 701 Dodge. They can be checked in and then re-charged to you at the desk, if there are no active holds on the item(s).
A reminder also that books borrowed from other campus libraries may be returned to the Music & Arts
Library, for transfer back to those libraries.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 212-854-4711.
Some necessary upgrades to the Libraries’ software are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 14th through Friday, Jan. 16th. Patrons will be able to check out materials as usual, but there will be some impact on CLIO, and in using any CLIO functions which require login using your UNI.
These services will not be available during this work:
- “My Library Account” in CLIO
- Renewals (in-person or online)
- Borrow Direct
- Saving to CLIO Bookbag
- Any other CLIO service requiring login with your UNI
These services will not be affected:
- Standard Inter-Library Loan
- Offsite requests
- Other non-CLIO resources such as electronic databases and journals
Please note: CLIO will not be updated in real time during this work. This means, for example, that an item you’ve returned may still be listed in CLIO as “checked out” until this work is completed. If you notice any problems after the work has been completed, please contact us (email@example.com or 212-854-4711).
Due to unavoidable Facilities work in Dodge, there will be a shutdown of heat and water to the building, including the Library, on Sunday, Dec. 7th, from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Library hours that day are 1 p.m. – 8 p.m., so there will be some overlap with this work.
Things should warm back up quickly after the work is completed and the heat’s back on, but you may want to bring a sweater! Backup restrooms are available in Lewissohn.
Our apologies for any inconvenience during this Facilities work!
Due to the closure of W.114th Street for student move-out day and for Commencement, there will be no Offsite deliveries made on Fri. 5/16 and Wed. 5/21. Continue to place your requests, but factor in an additional day’s delivery time for these dates. If it’s an emergency, please contact us and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do to expedite things.
Access to the Classical Music Library database has been restored. If you experience further problems, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
