Columbia University Libraries (CUL) are closed until further notice to aid in the containment of COVID-19, RBML’s archivists¬† won’t be physically processing materials.

“A collection of 17 cataloged items collected by Seymour B. Durst as part of his Old York Library collection.”

Joseph Marks papers about Anne Frank, 1950-1999

“These files concern the publication of Anne Frank: the Diary of a Young Girl in 1952, the dramatization of this diary and the subsequent legal disputes with Meyer Levin over the play, and the motion picture made from the play”

Dmitriev Family Papers, 1739-1810

“Collection consists of four imperial patents: by Anna I, promoting Cavril Dmitriev to the rank of major (1739); by Peter III, promoting Ivan Dmitriev to the rank of captain (1762); by Catherine II, appointing Ivan Dmitriev to the rank of ensign (1787); and by Alexander I, appointing Ivan Dmitriev to the rank of privy councillor (1810). The latter two may concern Ivan Ivanovich Dmitriev (1760-1837), Minister of Justice under Alexander I.”

A small but important collection, this improved description will make it much more discoverable.
