The Columbia Libraries Digital Program is Recruiting a Junior Web Developer!

Columbia University Libraries seek a junior Web Developer to develop, implement, and enhance dynamic web sites and applications that highlight distinctive digital library collections and deliver high-quality library services to students and faculty.

Working with librarians and a team of technology professionals, the Web Developer will create stand-alone applications as well as applications and interfaces that inter operate with our Fedora-based asset repository or our web content management system. Projects may include the use and further development of open source code and applications created by other institutions.

The Web Developer will work with software standards and tools including HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, SOLR, Java, JSP and MySQL, with many opportunities to learn new skills and technologies.
