Scanner Room Renovations, Back-to-School Statistics & More!

Here’s a round-up of the latest happenings at Columbia’s Libraries.

Avery Library

  • The Avery Library blog discusses upcoming August renovations and refurbishments of their scanner room (room 220B).  Scanners will still be available for usage elsewhere in the library.

Digital Social Science Center

  • Did you know the average tuition, room and board at the nation’s four-year private colleges and universities for one academic year (2008-09) was $40,633, more than double the cost in 1990? The Digital Social Science Center presents lots of fascinating back-to-school statistics like this and more courtesy of the U.S. Census Bureau.

Science and Engineering Library

  • The Science and Engineering Library blog explores the wide variety of software available at their Digital Science Center. Be sure to check it out!
