Mathematics Library Reopens to Columbia Students

After undergoing renovations this summer, the Mathematics Library has officially reopened to Columbia students and affiliates. Starting September 3, 2024, the Mathematics Library will open at 9 a.m. on weekdays. (A full schedule of library hours can be found here.) The study spaces have been freshly painted and are outfitted with new furnishings, flooring, drop ceilings, and carpeting.

The Mathematics Library updates support group and individual study with a new collaborative study area, comfortable chairs, study carrels, and a printing/computer station with high-top seating. Each of the carrels and group study desks is equipped with electrical outlets and USB charging ports. The large windows and modern lighting fixtures fill the library with plenty of ambient and natural light.

The Libraries would like to thank the Provost’s Office and the Arts & Sciences Leadership for their support of this project.
