Irish Newspaper Archives involves the complete digitisation of Ireland’s newspaper heritage. Professional researchers, students and amateur historians alike will now be able to examine Ireland’s local past through the regional papers and how national and international historic events were perceived in the established national papers of the day. The database will be an invaluable resource for all organisations with an interest in Irish studies and Anglo-Irish relations.It contains over 6 million pages in over 500,000 issues of Irish Newspaper publications. The contents of all issues are fully text searchable and reflect the full context and layout of each page.
