For all their efforts, we salute them.” Vartan Gregorian, 1934 – 2021

The Carnegie Corporation of New York just released its annual list of Great Immigrants, which includes an array of individuals contributing to this nation’s rich tapestry of social, scientific, medical, and medical achievements.

While there are, undoubtedly, complications to all legacies, it’s worth noting contemporary efforts by institutions to use their resources to reshape ideals of American progress and freedoms.

As we approach the July 4th holiday weekend, visit the Great Immigrants website and explore the Carnegie Corporation of New York’s Digital Archive online to trace the evolution of ideas around democracy and immigration.
