The ETS is now the Digital Humanities Center (DHC)!
This past summer, the Electronic Text Service, located in 305 Butler Library, became the Digital Humanities Center. The DHC brings together people, technology, and information resources in an environment where researchers can work with multimedia resources in consultation with humanities librarians and technology specialists.
Visitors to the DHC can make use of thirteen text, image, and film scanning workstations and six Mac video editing stations. A wide range of software is available for the creation, markup, and editing of electronic texts, images, and video, citations and notes management, database creation, and qualitative and textual analysis as well as an in-house collection of electronic textual resources are also available. Learn more about the full range of services and technologies offered at the DHC!
The DHC offers a series of research and technology workshops. For more technology assistance try the University’s subscription to Lynda.com which provides access to a rich array of software tutorials.
The DHC joins our other Digital Centers at the Libraries: the Digital Social Science Center in Lehman Library, and the Digital Science Center, scheduled to open February 2011.
