Over the summer, the Libraries’ are offering a variety of GIS workshops, covering both basic and advanced topics and technologies. Here’s a listing of what’s coming up this June, July, and August. To register for any of these workshops, visit the DSSC website. We hope to see you there!
Working with ModelBuilder II

ModelBuilder is an application in ArcGIS used to create and edit models or workflows, stringing together geoprocessing tools. The models can either be run in ModelBuilder, setup to run as a tool in ArcToolbox or even exported to a Python script. This workshop will pick up where ModelBuilder I left off, covering advanced functionality such as loops, iterations, lists, and inline substitutions.
Attendance to part I is not required to attend part II.
All attendees must have some basic knowledge of ArcGIS, and at least know how to add data, save a project file (mxd), and access tools in ArcToolbox.
Google Earth Pro

Google Earth Pro is available on all the DSSC lab machines as well as the Data Service. There are several advantages to using Google Earth Pro over the publicly available version for GIS users which will be covered in this hands-on workshop.
Working with KML
