Work on the third phase of the Digital Scriptorium, under an NEH grant of $300,000, has been completed. Digital Scriptorium is an image database of medieval and renaissance manuscripts that unites scattered resources into a tool for teaching and scholarly research.

Columbia, in partnership with Oxford and Harvard, is now preparing a new grant proposal to the NEH under its JISC/NEH Transatlantic Digitization Collaboration Grants. This project would add Oxford’s manuscripts into Digital Scriptorium and provide the full digitization of select manuscripts.
