RBML Processing Successes

Fiscal year 2007/2008 saw the Rare Book and Manuscript Library reach a significant milestone: 2,809.47 linear feet of material was processed (just over 1/2 mile). This monumental effort on the part of our professional archivists, Mellon interns, and student assistants has made some 39 collections available. “The true beneficiaries,” says University Librarian Jim Neal, “are the students and faculty at Columbia and the scholars from around the world who can now use these important collections.”
