Starting today, March 11, 2016, we have a new exhibition up in our reading room. The title is A Body in Fukushima, and it is made up of photographs by historian/photographer William Johnston of dancer/choreographer Eiko Otake. Johnston and Eiko traveled to Fukushima, Japan in January and July 2014, where Johnston photographed Eiko as she performed in the deserted area around the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. This gripping collection of photographs will stay on view through June 2016.
An opening reception in conjunction with this exhibition will take place on April 11, 2016, 6:00-8:00 pm.
