Bloomberg Provides current and historical financial quotes, business newswires, and descriptive information, research and statistics on over 52,000 companies worldwide. Printing and downloading are available. For search help see our Bloomberg Help Guide.
Datastream Provides statistical time series covering stocks, bonds, commodities and economic data for numerous countries, along with company profiles. Coverage varies by dataset.
One Bloomberg terminal is available in the Digital Social Science Center in Lehman Library and many others are available in the Business Library. Datastream is available on both the Digital Social Science Center and Business Library computers.

Looking for information from the Economic Census? Taken by the U.S. Census Bureau every five years, the Economic Census provides a detailed statistical profile of a large segment of the national economy. You can find information directly at the U.S. Economic Census website, or you can view a table of economic census holdings here at Columbia University Libraries.

Beginning March 1st, one question will be posted on alternative days to one of the blogs – a question whose answer can be found on the blog – along with a link to submit your answer. The first question will be posted to the Business Library Blog on Monday, March 1st, and the first 5 people who submit the correct answer to the daily question will win a 1GB USB key. The scavenger hunt will continue for 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, and there will be ten opportunities to win a USB key! Winners will be notified by email, USB keys can be picked up in Watson Library (Columbia ID is required).
