We are pleased to announce that Lena Newman is the new Curator of Avery Classics. Lena began as a student employee on the Avery Index before becoming the Classics Reading Room assistant and then the Special Collections Librarian at Avery. Her duties as Special Collections Librarian have been subsumed into the Curator’s role. Lena brings deep knowledge of Avery’s rare books and, during her time as Interim Curator, has already expanded Avery’s artist book collection in ways that have resonated deeply with faculty and students.
